GREETINGS & HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM THE BIG BIRD FAMILY!
Now that we've entered 2016,
we at Big Bird Charters would like to extend our appreciation and gratitude to
those that joined us in our 2015 season. To those that couldn’t make it last year, we hope to see you in 2016. It’s always a pleasure to meet new
people and enjoy “catching” up with those who have fished in previous seasons!
Our season in re-cap was an overall great
one! The spring Coho and King Salmon weren’t as strong in numbers as we
would have liked, but the Steelhead and Lake Trout made up for it. June
brought a lot of hungry Steelhead and big one’s at that! Of course
through June, July, August, and September we have our mixed bag catches (King
Salmon, Coho, Steelhead, Lake Trout, and Brown Trout). The fall King run
was not a knock out session , but we did land some big ones!
Though the future of our King Salmon fishery is uncertain, our other species
(Steelhead, Coho, Lake Trout) are expected to stay strong and steady.
Much appreciation to all of you
and thanks for letting us do what we love best, FISH! If anyone has
pictures they would like to share, we would love to see them and possibly use
them on our website. If you joined us this past year and do not see your pic on here, don't worry you are still a rock star! We have all of our 2015 trips/pics posted on our website....check it out! Feel free to
contact us with any questions you may have and remember, it’s never too early
to think about fishing and reserving you're desired date. Wishing the very best of 2016 to all!
It is always a real pleasure for us to introduce fishing to children
and see the thrills that come across their faces! Lanie and father Don(left), did a great job
at landing this fiery juvenile King Salmon.
Olivia and father(right) gave exceptional teamwork towards landing this
“big boy” of a Lake Trout!
